When problems with sea valves happen, it is not always convenient to wait until the next drydocking. Therefore, it is essential that sea valves be opened while the vessel remains afloat. For this we use our own fabricated blanks specially measured to fit over sea chests and overboard discharges. When blanks are secured in place this then enables the inboard crew to maintain or replace sea valves as necessary. G&G Marine was the first ship diving company to successfully blank the largest valves (56 inches diameter) ever undertaken while vessel was waterborne. We have in stock a large variety of cofferdams and blanks. For special sizes our shop will fabricate on short notice.
